Hello and welcome to my blog! This post has been a long time in the making, and I’m excited to finally share it with you. As someone who has been active in the Lifestyle for over 25 years, I want to offer a short and sweet overview to help newcomers understand what it’s all about and get acquainted with some common terms.
The Lifestyle:
The Lifestyle refers to a community of people who embrace consensual non-monogamy, exploring various types of relationships and experiences beyond traditional monogamy. It's all about open communication, trust, and mutual respect.
Key Terms:
Stag: A man who enjoys seeing his partner, often referred to as a Vixen, engage in and enjoying sexual activities with others, without feelings of jealousy. He may choose to participate or simply watch.
Vixen: A woman who enjoys engaging in sexual activities with men other than her primary partner, with her partner’s knowledge and encouragement.
Hotwife: A married woman who has the freedom to have sexual encounters with other men, often with her husband's knowledge and approval. The husband typically derives pleasure from his wife's experiences.
Bull: A man who engages in sexual activities with a hotwife or vixen, typically known for his sexual prowess and confidence.
Unicorn: A single woman who engages in sexual activities with couples. She's called a "unicorn" because she's considered rare and highly sought after in the lifestyle community.
Cuckold: A man who experiences arousal and satisfaction from his partner having sexual relationships with others. This term can sometimes imply a power dynamic where the cuckold derives pleasure from feelings of submission or humiliation.
Swinger: An individual or couple who engages in sexual activities with other swingers, often within a social or community setting. Swingers can enjoy a variety of experiences, from group activities to partner swapping.
Swinger Terms:
Soft Swap: This refers to couples engaging in sexual activities with others that do not include intercourse. It can include kissing, touching, oral sex, and other forms of play.
Full Swap: In a full swap, couples engage in intercourse with partners other than their own. This typically happens with clear communication and consent from all parties involved.
There is a whole pletoria of Terms and Labels, it's not a one size fits all. It's more about what works for you and your partner. As your relationship advances you may also find the terms you identify with changes also. That is perfectly Okay :)
The Lifestyle is all about exploring consensual adult relationships in a safe and respectful manner. Whether you're curious or already a part of the community, understanding these terms can help you navigate and enjoy your experiences more fully.
Thank you for reading! Stay tuned for more posts where I'll dive deeper into these concepts and share stories and tips from the community.
